- January 17, 2012, Tuesday, Hiwan Homestead Museum
- "Dolls from the Julia Douglas Collection" Exhibit opening. Many of the amazing dolls from the Julia Douglas collection, originally displayed in the first Evergreen Library, will be exhibited until April 29th.
- February 13, 2012, Monday, 11:30 PM, Hiwan Homestead Museum
- "Valentine's Day Tea"
"Button, Button, We've Got the Buttons!" Join us for a lovely Valentine's tea where you will be treated to a light luncheon in the beautiful setting of the Hiwan Homestead Museum. Harriett Brittenham of the National Button Society will be giving a program on the history of buttons, with many examples for you to admire. Bring your own buttons for show-and-tell! Reservations are
required and a fee charged.

Children's Programs
- Pioneer History Program, Hiwan Homestead Museum
- Invites school groups or home school groups, 3rd, 4th or 5th grades,
to participate in a hands-on 2-hour program which includes kitchen,
wool spinning, 1876 schoolroom &
grandmother's trunk activities. Teachers are required to attend
an in-service to be qualified for the program. $0.50 per student. Classes
are offered Tuesday thru Friday mornings, 10:00 am to noon. October
through May. Call 720-497-7650 for information.
- Arts of the Tribal Southwest, Hiwan Homestead Museum
- Invites school groups or home school groups, 2nd, 3rd or 4th grades,
studying "First Americans". $0.50 per student. Classes
are offered Tuesday thru Friday mornings, 10:00 am to 11:30 am. October

Exhibits
- Dolls from the Julia Douglas Collection
- January 17 through April 29. Come see some of the amazing and intricate dolls from the Julia Douglas collection, held at the Hiwan Homestead Museum. These dolls date to the early 20th century and are representative of the many regions of the world. This is an exhibit not to be missed!
